Potter County - This project consisted of preliminary design for approximately 9,000’ of pavement restoration, drainage and guide rail upgrades. The project consisted of a mill and overlay with reconstructed shoulders and full depth pavement replacement in isolated base failure areas and pipe crossings. The project also included bridge preservation details to perform maintenance on existing structures within the project limits. Pavement cross slopes for travel lanes were evaluated within horizontal curves and corrected to meet 3R design criteria. Final Design, Construction Plan and Bid Package was completed by District 2-0.
Cost: $191,000.00
Client: PennDOT Engineering District 9-0
Boynton Bridge Preservation - The primary focus was to underpin the scour-critical Boynton Bridge. Reinforced concrete underpinning was constructed in an undermined area of an abutment. A Cross-Rock Vane and J-Hook Vane were installed upstream and downstream respectively, and rock protection was installed at the pier to mitigate future scour. Minor concrete repairs were also included in the contract.
