S.R. 1001, Section C01 Ribbon Cutting August 30, 2024

SPK Engineering were honored to be a part of this roadway reconstruction, retaining wall and walkway in Clinton County. Today was the ribbon cutting that included representatives from the Woodford Township Board of Supervisors, The Woodward Township Municipal Authority, the Woodford Township Recreation Committee, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 2, the Project Contractor Clearwater Construction, the Clinton County Economic Partnership and the Clinton Country Government.

Roadway Reconstruction and Retaining Wall - Clinton County - This project was originally 1.2 miles in length with significant geometric improvements on S.R. 1001 (Farrandsville Road). The project was eventually right-sized to 1,400’ of roadway improvements and reconstruction and included an 800’ tied pile and lagging retaining wall with an integral pedestrian walkway to minimize encroachment on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

Structure replacement - Potter County, Ulysses Township - Replacement of a concrete arch culvert carrying S.R. 0449 (North Brooklyn Road) over Pine Creek with a precast concrete box culvert [designed by our subconsultant, Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP  (WRA)]. The project also included 517’ of approach roadway reconstruction.
