Roadway Widening and Reconstruction - This project includes 4.316 miles of widening and
reconstruction of an arterial facility. The project also includes rehabilitation and extension of seven (7) arch structures.

S.R. 0381 Section OST is located in Ohiopyle Borough, Fayette County, PA. The project was funded by PennVEST for the Redevelopment Authority of Fayette County, with PennDOT oversight and coordination from the Ohioplye Borough The scope of this Smart Transportation Initiative project was to provide pedestrians, bicyclists and boaters safeand efficient access to the Park's various amenities. The construction included resurfacing of S.R. 0381 Corridor, conversion of existing 4'-0" shoulders to 5'-0" directional bike lanes adjacent to the northbound and southbound lanes.

This project consisted of replacing a two-span bridge with a single span (77.4’ span) bridge over Dunlap Creek. The project included 607’ of approach roadway reconstruction and was constructed in phases. SPK developed the conceptual plans and specifications for a Department Design-Build project. SPK also provided design review and construction consultation on the project.
