S.R. 0019 Section G10 Whitely

Two Bridge Replacements - Greene County - This project includes the expedited replacement of two substandard bridges carrying S.R. 0019 over Whiteley Creek and Dyers Fork; the replacement spans are 41.5' and 63.0' respectively. The S.R. 0019 upgrades are needed to provide an alternate route for Interstate 79 traffic due to predicted mining subsidence.

Project Letting - December 2008

Tenmile Creek Bridge - Greene and Washington Counties -  This project includes the replacement of two (2) bridges; one carrying S.R. 0088 over Tenmile Creek (existing two-span through-truss - 304’ overall span) with a three-span continuous steel plate girder bridge (384’ overall span); and one carrying S.R. 2039 over Black Dog Hollow Run (existing single-span slab bridge - 25’ span) with a single span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge with integral abutments (68’ span). The project also included 2,447’ of approach roadway reconstruction. Traffic was maintained on the existing bridge and a new structure parallel to the existing was constructed.

S.R. 0040 Section 129

Roadway Realignment and Safety Improvements - Chalk Hill, Fayette County - The project consisted of re-aligning the intersection of S.R. 0040 and S.R. 2010 to 1,200-feet west of the previous intersection to provide adequate sight distance. The realignment of S.R. 2010 required a new traffic signal, addition of a designated left-turn lane and the widening and resurfacing of the S.R. 0040 mainline.
